Opening Reception for KWS Student Art Exhibit at Community Music School

  • May 18, 2014
  • 3PM – 6PM

We are excited to announce that Community Music School in Trappe will feature an exhibit of Kimberton student artwork from May 12 to June 9.

The opening reception will be held on Sunday, May 18 at 3:00 pm and will be followed by a CMS student showcase concert at 4:00 pm. During the reception, patrons are invited to stroll through the Gallery and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and light hors d'oeuvres.

The Gallery at CMS features exhibitions by some of the finest visual artists in our region and is open to visitors during regular CMS hours. Some of the art work may be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds benefitting CMS and the rest benefitting Kimberton Waldorf School. The exhibit's opening reception will coincide with a concert. By combining an evening of art and music the goal is to create an affordable concert experience that adds to the cultural life of the Perkiomen Valley.

The musical potpourri event at 4:00 pm will feature Community Music School's own talented students. The performers are selected by audition to perform for this special event and audience members will be blown away by the talent in our very own studios. From solo performances from piano, vocal and string students, to our award winning chamber ensembles and wind students, this concert is a great opportunity for our community to see and hear what CMS is all about.
